very hasty and almost illegible ; the Ms. is bound in bookform in cloth. Apart from 159 leaves assigned to the text, 42 leaves in the beginning and 7 leaves at the end have served as the Accounts book of the owner. These extra pages contain the names of patients, date, medicine, price etc. The text is in Kanarese language with Sanskrit verses interspersed here and there. The name of the author is unknown. It is ascribed to grrr, perhaps on account of the following verse found on fol. 82'.
यिदं मन्धकरसायेन सर्वलोकोपकारणं सर्वभूतहितार्थाय पूज्यपादेन माषितं ॥ The Madras Oriental Mss. Catalogue Vol. XXIII,
mentions पूज्यपाद as the author of औषधयोगग्रंथ (p. 8818), निदानमुक्ताबली (p. 8857), मदनकामरत्न (p. 8875), रत्नाकरायौषधयोगग्रन्थ (p. 8880), रसरत्नाकर (p. 8892), रुदन्यादिकल्प (p. 8898) and वैद्यसारसंग्रह (p. 8919). In the colophon of निदानमुक्तावली we read- श्रीमज्जठरदेशिकमन्त्रवादषभाषाकविचक्रवर्तिश्रीपूज्यपादस्वामिविरचिते सिद्धान्तिभाष्ये अरिष्टनिदानो द्वादशोध्यायः ॥ . . .
