Description.- Country paper; Devanāgari characters; handwrit
bold and good, but ink seems to be bad as it has made the faces of all pages sooty; paper is very old, brittle, musty and worn out; corners and borders in a decaying condition. This work is a collection of prescriptions from various other works and is of the same nature as qrufe. The compiler wrote this work at argi eta on the northern bank of River Krsna. Following lines give some information-- अलिखत्पाकमार्तडं भिषजां हितकाम्यया । यस्यावलोकनात्प्रज्ञा वर्द्धतेल्पधियामपि ॥ ग्रंथाश्चिकित्सितान्वीक्ष्य रचितो नातिविस्तरात् ॥ कृष्णायाश्वोत्तरे तीरे वा क्षेत्रे सुशोभिते ॥ खंखाभषस्तंपबरो साधूनां सेवकः खलु । राज्ञामाश्रयवद्भिभिषग्वररेतदवधाये । प्राङ्भु निर्मितवचसा संग्रहहेतोः कृतः प्रयासोतः॥ Then follows a prescription on वाजीकरण. The Ms. starts with the परिभाषा borrowed from पाकावली ( Ms.
No. 134 foll. 17-18 and 45-46 are missing. Age.-- Appears to be very old. Author.-Name not clear. Begins.- fol. 10
॥ भीकमाय नमः ॥ अथ पाकावलीपरिभाषाप्रारंभः ।।
अथ पाकावली वक्ष्ये कदुतिक्तादिभेषजै॥
विचिकित्सायतां तृणां राजसानां हिताय वै ॥१॥ कषायादियोगा ज्वरादौ प्रशस्ता न ते भूभृतां श्रीमतां च प्रयुक्ताः । ममम्प्रीतिदा रुच्यभावस्वभावादतोहं ब्रुवे पाककल्पादिरम्यं ॥२॥
चिकित्सायां इयं सारं पाकविद्या रसायनं । पाकोवलेहमेदः स्यात् स मृदः स(worm eaten) परः॥३॥ etc.
