Vrtti. Begins - The Ms. at present begins with a part of the gloss on
the verse देवदेवं-तिन । अन्यतोपि चेतिङः । प्रतिपूर्वाग्रमके क्वाप्रत्ययस्य etc. The original beginning as given by Dr. Kielhorn is - नमः श्रीसर्वज्ञाय ॥
प्रणम्य भारती देवीं गणेशं सर्वकामदं। दौर्गसिंह्यामिमां वृत्तौ शब्दव्युत्पत्तिमारभे ॥१॥ सटी...'कां सम्यक् बुवा शास्त्रकृदाशयं । अवेक्ष्य बहुशास्त्राणि व्युत्पत्तिबोधकानि च ॥ २॥ धात्वर्थमूलं बालानां व्युत्पत्तये समासतः। शब्दसिद्धाभिधावृत्तिर्महादेवेन रच्यते ॥ ३ ॥ अन्यशास्त्रेषु यदृष्टं लिखितं यन्मयाखिलं।
क्षतव्यं तद्बुधैः सर्व यद्यपि स्यादपेशलं ॥४॥ तथा च ।
नत्वा श्रीशारदां देवीं दिव्यज्ञानामृतप्रपां।
वक्ष्ये शैष्येषु शिक्षायै रूपसिद्धिक्रम क्रमात् ॥ १॥
तत्रादौ नमस्कारभणनं देवदेवमित्यादि ॥ Ends-The पंचसंधिs end on fol. 48b; the कारकप्रकरण on fol. 125b.
