This is the only place where the work is called सारस्वतदीपिका and ascribed to सत्यप्रबोध भट्टारक, the disciple of ब्रह्मसागर, who composed this work in the holy place called पुरुषोत्तम. Elsewhere in the Colophons ( Fol. Sa, 17a, 38b, 44a ) as well as the side margins the work is called सुबोधिका and stated to be composed by अमृतभारती.
Reference - India Office Catalogue Part II, No. 803, where also a similar confusion of names has taken place. There does not appear to be any way out of the difficulty. The supposition that the work commenced by art was completed by सत्यप्रबोधभट्टारक goes against the Colophon found at the end of No. 291 / 1881-82 below. That सत्यबोधभट्टारक was an earlier name for art looks plausible only on the supposition that he had two separate spiritual teachers at different times, or that ब्रह्मसागर = अद्वय सरस्वती. Further, who is विश्वेश्वराब्धिमुनि ? ( Cf. next number.) A commentary on सारस्वतप्रक्रिया by सत्यप्रबोधभट्टारक is mentioned in the Catlogue of Bhau Daji Memorial Mss. p. 146.
