Description - Country paper. Devanāgarī characters with पृष्टमात्राs. Bold, careful, and generally accurate writing. Margins ruled in black; square spaces left blank in the centre. Many leaves towards the end glued together, the ink used not being proof against the effects of damp. Fol. 42 omitted in numbering, but fol. 41 as also foll. 43 and 47 numbered twice. Contains the commentary on the af portion from the शब्दानुशासन, i. c. Adhyāyas VI, VII.
Age-Old in appearance.
Author — Dhanacandra.
Subject A commentary called Laghuvṛttyavacurikā on chapters VI and VII of Hemacandra's Sabdānusāsana. It may have been intended as a continuation of the Dhundhika which is also called Laghuvṛttyavacurikā and which perhaps was not carried further than Adhyāya V.
Begins – भई । तद्धितो । तस्यै वृत्यै हितः तद्धितः अण आदिर्यस्य असौ अणादिः ॥ Ends -
• एकार्थाभाव ऐकपद्यं ॥ १९ ॥
अनेन क्लेशलेशेन तथामेथो(?) भवे भवे । प्राणिशस्यसमूहानां व्रजेयमुपकारितां ॥ १ ॥
पंडितधनचंद्रेण लघुवृत्यवचूरिका | स्रुतौद्वृता च (?) गुरौ यः श्रीदेवेंद्रसूरितः || २ ||
इति लघुवृत्त्यवचूरिकायां तद्वितस्य अष्टमः पादः समाप्तः ॥ शुभं भवतु ॥ कल्याणमस्तु ॥ श्री ॥
Colophon The colophon nowhere mentions Dhanacandra as the author but is simply लघुवृत्त्यवचूरिकायां तद्धितस्य प्रथमः पादः ॥ etc. Reference – For other manuscripts see Jinaratnakośa Vol. I, p. 376.
