The Digambara Works
Extent - 12 folios (1650 to 1760): 11 lines to a page; 40 letters
to a line. Description-Country paper somewhat thick, rough and white; Jaina
Devanāgari characters; big, quite legible, uniform and toler. ably good hand-writing; borders ruled in two lines in black; ink; red chalk used; foll. numbered in both the margins3B this MS. begins abruptly, so its 1st fol. is numbered as 165%3B wbitish pigment used while making corrections; corners of all the foll, more or less gone; condition tolerably good; the last kathā given here is Nandiśvaravidhānakathā; there are two diagrams on fol. 1765%; one of them pertains to Nandisvara-dvipa.
Age-Pretty old. Author - Harisena, disciple of Gunacandra Suri. Subject -- Narratives relating to Astahnika Vrata. Begins - fol. 165a
... तं ये श्रयते श्रुतिजलनिधिजातां संपदं ते लभ(भं)ते ॥ ८ ॥ वृषभाद्याजिनाः सर्वे भारतीगुरवस्तथा कथारचकश्रोतृणां सवा(३) कुर्वतु मंगलं ॥ ८७ ॥ इति कवलचंद्रायणव्रतकथा संपूर्णम् । श्रीः ॥ शशांक-गोक्षीर-हार-धवलगात्राय विश्वविद्याकुलगृहाय समस्त विघ्नहराय श्रीचंद्रप्रभतीर्थकराय नमः ॥ इति जापः अष्टोत्तरजातीपुष्पैंरखंडसतंदुलैर्वा कर्त्तव्यः ॥ श्रीः ॥ अथ अष्टाह्निकद्वितीयव्रतकथा लि० ॥ त्रैलोक्याधिपतीनत्वा पंचैव परमेष्टिनः । अष्टाढिकव्रताख्यानं कुर्वे भव्यानुरंजनं ॥१॥ अथास्ति विजयो रम्यो 'मगधा 'ह्नः स्वरूपमः ।।
