Published by the Proprietors of the Nirnayasagara Press, in A. D. 1916. In this edition, the editors Pandit Śivadatta and Pandit Vasudeva Lakṣmaṇa Śastri Panasikar have on pp. 1516 treated a passage of six rhyrming couplets or 12 lines each of which is formed of four feet of five matrãs, as prose. Dr. A. Venkaetasubbiah informs us in his article "Some rare metres in Sanskrit " ( published in the Jr. of Or. Res. Madras, Jan.-Mar. 1935, pp. 45-58) that this is a medical composition, Its metre is named as Lalita-ragale by Kannada writers and as Dviradagati-ragada by Telugu writers. He further observes that Somadeva gives on pp. 181, 189 op. cit two verses which he calls Ghatta and thus differs from the author of Prakṛta Paingala. Furthermore, Somadeva has called two verses Catuspadl and twentysix other verses, exactly similar to them. Paddhatikā.
