The Svetāmbara Works
Description.- Country paper very thin and greyish in colour ;
Jaina Devanagari characters; bold, uniform, quite clear and sufficiently big hand-writing ; borders ruled in three lines in red ink ; foll. numbered as usual; corners slightly
worn out; condition tolerably good. Age.-Old. Subject.- A narration of King Agharakumara in 269 verses in
Sanskrit by way of illustrating the fructification of merit.
This narration exists in three recensions. Of them one is in prose, and it is translated into German by Dr. 10 Miss Krause and published in " Indische Marchen",
Leipzig in A. D. 1922. Begins.-- fol. 1
प्राणिनामसहायानामपि पुण्यवतामिह ॥ अघटस्येव जायते रविपदोर्पिह संपदः ॥१॥ भघटित घटितानि घटयति । सुघटितघटितानि जर्जरीकते ।
विधिरेव तानि घटयति । यानि पुमान् नैव चिंतयति ॥२॥ Ends. fol. 66

प्राप प्रसिद्धस्तराज्यषियोगःखं । पको(5)गण्यैरघटस्तु पुण्यः
प्राज्यं समासावयति स्म राज्यं ॥ ६॥ इति पुण्यविषये अघटकुमारकथा समाप्ताः ॥ ॥ पंचा ॥२९॥ ॥ श्रीः ।। श्रीः॥ चित्तवित्तसपात्राणां योगे दानं जिनोतमैः।
