Description.- Country paper thick, rough and white; Devanagari
characters ; sufficiently big, perfectly legible, uniform and beautiful hand-writing; borders ruled in two lines and edges in one, in black ink; foll. numbered in the right-hand margin , sol. 96 blank; condition very good ; both the texts and its commentary complete so far as they go ; the former has the last verse numbered as 8; the last fol. seems to have been pressed against a wooden board having strings
attached to it at equal intervals, Age.- Not quite modern.
10 Author of the text.- Not known. „ „ „ commentary.--Pārsvadeva Gani alias Śricandra Sūri.
As regards this Gaņi, the following observations are made by Muni Caturavijayaji in his Sanskrit introduction ( pp. 30-32 ) to Jaina-stotra-sandoha ( pr. I):
(1) He is a pupil of Dhaneśvara Sûri of Candra kula.*
(2) He was named as Śricandra Sûri at the time he was made “Sūri”.]
(3) He assisted his guru in his composing a commentary on Sad?hasayaga, in Vikrama Saṁvat u71. 20
