JAINA BIBLIOGRAPHY
The ancient kings Cangaluvas professed the Jaina faith. Four temples, at Panasoge, were attributed by them to the Digambara masters of the Pustaka gaccha.
Visnuvardhana restored some Jaina temples.
Melugote must be an ancient Jaina locality, since it bears still the name of Vardhamanakṣetra.
