Rajendra-Chola-Kongälva's son Rajadhiraj Kongalva, and his mother Pochabbarasi, had as their guru Gurusena pandita, the disciple of Puspasena, Siddhantadeva. In 1058 Rajendra Kongälva Tammayya built a basti at Muttur (near Samvarsante in Coorg) and endowed it. (Coorg inscriptions).

D.) and author of works on Geometry, Algebra and Mensuration-Padma-charita or Maha-Rāmāyaṇa a Sanskrit work, by Raviṣeṇacharya in the 7th cent. The work contains one of the earliest Jain version of the story of Räma-Kalyaṇakaraka, a Sanskrit work on medicine by Ugraditya a contemporary of Rashtrakuta King Nripatunga (815-877 A. D.) giveng a discourse on the uselessness of a flesh diet.
