This is a philosophical treatise. it describes carefully the manifestation of the soul according to Jain tradition. it deals with the problem whether the mithyatvi can have a manifestation and the author has proved that in a possible way . The book is divided into nine chapters including conclusion. Each chapter has several sub sections, or rather points on which the author has discussed a lot each section of each chapter is replete with sample quotations proving the conclusion of the author,
This book shows the masterly scholarship of Sri Srichand Choraria over the subject. The language of the author is simple, but forceful and the analysis is praise worthy. The author has consulted quite a number of books and has given a substanned effort for the better production of the thesis. The work is more than a D. Lit.

The “Spiritual Development of a Perverted One” elucidates one of the most difficult topics of Jain Philosophy. The subject itself is controversial and requires a very through understanding of the subite points of Jain Ethics. In this work the author has substantiated the view that a perverted one partially make an advancement in the direction of spiritual development. The author has collected all the evidence from the available Jain sources--the Swetamber as well as the Digamber Canonical Texts. At some places, he also quotes the non. Jain Texts which Clearly accept the themes.
The whole work is a logical treatment based on the authentic texts and authentic commentaries. The book itself has become a sort of “cyclopaedia” on the subject.
Incidentally, the author has explained many other topics concerning other aspects of Jain Philosophy, such as the nature of Jnana and ajaana, darsana labdebis ;etc. .
