Jaina Sahitya Samaroh - 2 He lives in a state of soul-consciousness and not in the state of body-consciousness like ordinary people. Srimad Rajchandra definately lived in such a state of soul-consciousness. He himself says, " 247 ÈG 4122 07 27 3 3 2 24641377
(412. His 4€ 2419 ." While ordinary human beings are not free from the deluded notion of "I am the body” even while they are in sleep; here we have an individual who is so much detached from the body that he has to make efforts to remember that he is in the body.
The above points make it quite clear that Srimad Rajchandra was a mystic in his own right. He expresses his inner states by using both Jaina and Hindu4 terminology. His writings definately give us an idea of the high mystic attainments of his; but more important is the fact that he too has been unable to express fully all his mystic states. This is quite natural for mystic experiences are beyond the realm of concepts and language can at the most give a faint idea of the real experience.
