The seven-fold system of predication is called the Saptbhangi, and stands in the same relation to philosophy as grammar does to speech. The Jainas hold that every aspect of an object can be viewed from seven-stand points, every one of which is true but the whole truth about that aspect lies in the combination of all these seven views. This seven-fold declaration of judgment in regard to everything a peculiar and unique method of Jaina dialectic.
According to Vasunandi there is no contradiction involved and no violation of the Law of Non-contradiction in applying opposite predicates to the same thing, because they are applied to its different aspects according to matter, state, space and timels.
The Theory of Karma The doctrine of karma is the most important doctrine in Indian thought. Karma is the basic pre-supposition of Indian thought. According to this doctrine, time, temperament, nature, etc. are all ineffective. Everywhere karma (deeds act) reign supreme. Two children are born to a mother, one them is wise, while the other one is an idiot. One is beautiful and attractive; the other has very ugly appearance. One is king and another is a poor man, one is happy when another is miserable, one is sickly person while another is without any sickness. All these wonderful appearances are due to what? After seeing all these things we have to understand that a powerful force named karma is working behind them. All the human beings differ from each other to a great extent, and this differentiation is justifiable on logical grounds. Karma can elevate a poor man to the highest status of king in the society and vice
