XII I feel great pleasure to express my deep feeling of reverence and appreciation for Agama prabhakar Muni shri PUNYAVIJAYAJEE at the celebration of his sixtieth year of initiation in Jain order of monkhood. I have had the privilege of comining in close contect with him on several occasions. Undoubtedly, his life and discourses cast an unbounded charm and spell on all those who approach him for guidance and inspiration. But his principal work lies in the sphere of literary research. His contributions in this field, so far untraversed by any, have been immense. Following on the lines of his reverential preceptors Pravartaka Muni shri Kantivijayajee and Muni shri Chaturvijayajee he has exploited his talents in the preparation of critical editions of Jain Againis. His unparalleled achievements in this field speak for theinselves. Like a brilliant star in the firmament or a crystal gem in the diadem, he shines in the galaxy of scholars whose devotion to literary work is the goal of their lives.
