Paryyāyaratnamālā or Ratnamālā of Mādhavakara, son of Indukara, residing in a place named Silāhrada, is an Ayurvedic lexicon. The full name of the text as Paryyāyaratnamālā has been mentioned in Verse no. 2 and in MS. G 8009. The Colophon however mentions the title of the work as 'Ratnamālā' and claims it as a complete work. Scribe is Parešanātha Sena of Bhavānipura. Date of the scribe mentioned in the Post-Colophon is Saka 1763 - A.D. 1841. Left hand side margin of some folios contains some names of medicinal herbs. F. la contains sixteen names of Lord Visnu in verse-form and it is complete-"एतानि सोडस (षोडश)नामानि समाप्तानि" || with date as Saka 1769 written by another hand. Beginning :
ओं श्रीहरिः॥ प्रणम्य परमं देवं दुःखत्रयहरं परं(रम्) । संशा (सा)रसागरोतारहेतुं सेतुमिवोत्थितं(तम्) ॥ पर्यायरत्नमालेयमायुर्वेदार्णवोत्थिता । विविच्यते मयासारो नातिसंक्षेपविस्तरा ॥ धार्या भिषम्बिदा कण्ठे नातिसंक्षेपविस्तरा । कि करोति नरः शूरः समरे शासवर्जित(तः) । तत् पर्यायरहितचिकित्सायां चिकित्सकः । तेन नामानि वक्ष्यामि लोकेणा(ना)न पादतः ॥
