The title and author's name of this MS. are mentioned in the F. 27a as : "fa forepet jo godt varefa (FA)7 HT642 de otrasparamil 1161 (H) (T) 4r:" From the expressed views of scholars it may appear that the author was a native of Rajasthan, probably Mewar, worked under the patronage of king Rajamalla and composed this MS. in around 1546 Samvat -1489 A.D. The entire text consists of sixteen chapters and 137 verses. But this MS. is incomplete both in the beginning and at the end. (beginning from Ist chapter, verse no. 35 end portion upto the 7th chapter "Haurrak: site:" verse no. 60). This MS. contains etiology of various types of fevers and their remedies, diets etc. Apart from the fevers of human beings, fevers of animals, trees, plants and leaves also have been narrated in this text. In this context the author deals with pulse reading, urine examination etc.
Names of earlier authors like Sušruta, Vțddhāsuśruta and Vägbhata can be traced in this MS. and some names of the earlier texts such as Dravyādilakşaņotsava, Valnateyasamhita etc. also have been mentioned.
