On the request of Gyan Canda Chābră, grand son of Balcanda be translated into Hindi prose Vardhaman Purana, a Samskrit work of Bhajţărak Sakalkirti. The centre of his literary activity was the Jaina temple Laskara, Jaipur. He was also a good coypist and several manuscripts written by him are found in the Sastra Bhandărs of Lapur. The description of Jaipur City given by him in his works is as follows
नगर मवाई जयपुर जानि, ताकि महिमा अधिक प्रवानि । जगतसिह जहां राज करेह, गौत कुछाहा सुन्दर देह ।।६।। देस देम के आवे जहा, भाति भाति की बस्ती तहा । जहां मरावग बमै अनेक, केईक के घर माहो विवेक ।।७।।

35 DULI CANDA.
Duli Canda was a great literary man He collected in his life about 800 manuscripts travelling throughout India. He devoted most of his time in copying the manuscripts and safely preserving them He was not a Rajasthani Scholar by birth but he lived in Jaipur for about 25 years and established a Sastra Bhandar in the Jain Terapanthi temple, Jaipur. He travelled throughout India thrice and wrote a travel book called Jaina Yatra Darpana! He saw several Grantha Bhandārs and prepared a authorwise Catalogue, ? It was perhaps frst attempt amongest the Jains for preparing such a catalogue of the manuscripts placed in varlous Grantha Bhandārs in India. He wrote more than 15 works in Hindi and died in Agra in the Tear 1877 A. D. The names of his important works are as follows.
(1) Updesa Ratnamāli, (2) Gyāna Prakasa Vilāna, (3) Ārādhanåsår, (4) Mratyu Mahotsava, (5) Jainā garaprakriyā, and(6)Sadbhisitāvali eto
All these works are presei ved in his own bhandār and waiting for publication,

He was a Jaipurian and grandson of Dülicanda and son of Siya Canda. Sadāsukh Kāsliwala was his teacher and dewan Amar Canda was his great admirer.
