There had been several scholars in the 18th century who wrote works on Pnräna literature in Hindi. Among such scholars Bhudhardāsa, Khuśálcand, Ajaya Raja, Daulat Råma are well known. Bhudhardāsa wrote Pārswa Purana in the year 1732. This is a very good work and is very popular. We find its copies in most of the Grantha Bhandărs of Rājasthān.
Dipa Cand Saha wrote Parmātma Purana in the first quarter of the 18th century. The manuscript is found in the Amer Śăstra Bhandar of Jaipur.
Khuśāla Cand Kålā was a Rajasthani Scholar. He lived in Sangāner and Amer and composed several works in Hindı. His works on Purāņa literature are Harivansapurana', Padmapurāna? and Uttarpurāņa. He wrote these works in the year 1723, 1726 and 1742 respectively. All works are in Hindi poetry and are read with great interest by the scholars. The manuscripts of these works are available in most of the Jaina Bhandārs of Jaipur.
Daulata Råma Käsliwal was wiso a Rajasthāni Scholar. He was born in Baswā, educated in Jaipur and composed his works in Jaipur and Udaipur. He wrote works of Adipurāna, Padmapurāna', and Harivansa Purana in Hindi prose in the year 1766, 1767 and 1772 respectively. Daulata Rāma was the first Hindi Jaina Scholar who wrote these Purāns in Hindi Prose. His language is elegant and polished and his way of description is marvellous. His works are quite popular all over the country. Among the Purānas his works are regarded as one of the best works written in Hindi prose.
Ajaya Raja a Jaipurian Scholar also wrote several works in Hindi. He composed Adipurāna? in the year 1740 in Hindi poetry. The manuscript of the work is available in Amer Sastra Bhandar, Jaipur.
In the 19th century Kesari Singh wrote Vardhamāna Purina He lived in Jaipur and composed his works in the Jaina temple of Laskar, Bhagcand a poet of his time wrote Neminatha Purana in the year 1850. This deals with the life of Neminátha, the 22nd Tirthankar.
