यस्मिन् ग्रन्थे पदार्था नव दशविधको धर्म एकोऽप्यनेको,

सोऽयं ग्रन्थस्ततोऽन्या जनमुखजनिता वैकथाऽहो भवेत्सा ॥२१॥ सच्चा शास्त्र वही है जिसमें पुण्य-पाप आदि नौ पदार्थोका, उत्तम क्षमादि दस . धोका, जीवअजीव आदि सात. तत्त्वाका, शुभ विनयका, दर्शन-ज्ञान-चारित्रका और ध्यानका सांगोपांग कथन हैं, जो वैराग्यको बढ़ानेवाला है और तीर्थकर, चक्रवती, नारायण आदि तिरेसठं शलाकाके महापुरुषोंकी जिसमें जीवनी लिखी है । और इससे निराली, मनुष्योंके द्वारा कही गई केवलं शगारादि-युक्त कथाएँ हैं वे सब विकथाएँ हैं ॥ २१ ॥

सच्छास्त्रार्थावधारी शिवसुखमतिमान् पण्डितः सद्विवेकी ॥ २२ ॥ श्रोता-शास्त्र सुननेका पात्र वही है जो धर्मात्मा है, प्रशस्त ध्यान करनेवाला है, दयालु है,.. आहिंसादि व्रत और सम्यक्त्वादि गुणअथवा अष्ट मूल गुणरूप महामाणियोंसे विभूषित है, त्यागीदान देनेवाला-है, भोगी-अपनी सम्पत्तिका योग्य उपभोग करनेवाला-है, जिसकीजैन शास्त्रोंमें अच्छी रुचि है, ज्ञान-विज्ञानसे सहित है, किसीकी निन्दा आदि नहीं करता है, गुरुके चरण-कमलोंमें भौंरेके मानिंद लवलीन है, विभव-सम्पन्न है, शास्त्रके सदुपदेशकी धारणा रखनेवाला है, मोक्षमुखका अभिलाषी है, विद्वान है और उत्तम विचारवान है ॥ २२ ॥
