सोमसेजभट्टारकविरचित बाद सब मिलकर उसके प्रदक्षिणा दें तथा वही चिताके पास खेर या अन्य लकडियोका एक हाथ लंबा एक परिस्तर ( स्थंडिल-चबूतरासा) बनावें ॥ १४६ ॥
उखावहिं समुद्दोप्य सकृदाज्यं प्रयोज्य च । पर्युक्ष्य निक्षिपेत्पश्चाच्छनैस्तत्र परिस्तरे.॥ १४७ ॥ ततः समन्तात्तस्योर्ध्व निदध्यात्काष्ठसञ्चयम् ।
सर्वतोऽग्निं समुज्वाल्प संप्लुष्यात्तत्कलेवरम् ॥१४८॥ मनन्तर उखाग्निको प्रज्वलित करे, उसमें एक बार घृतकी आहूति दे और चारों तरफ जल सिंचन करे। बाद उस अमिको उठाकर परिस्तरपर क्षेपण करे, उसके ऊपर लकडियां रक्खे, अनन्तर चिताके चारों ओर अनि प्रज्वलित कर उस शवको दग्ध करे ॥ १४७-१४८ ।।
चिता रचने भादिक मंत्र । मंत्र-ॐ हीं हः काष्ठसञ्चयं करोमि स्वाहा । इस मत्रको पढ़कर चिता बनावे ।
मंत्र-ॐ ही हौं झौं असि आ उ सा काष्ठे शव स्थापयामि स्वाहा । इति मंत्रेण पञ्चामृतरभिषिञ्च्य तत्पुत्रादयो वा त्रिमदाक्षिणां कृत्वा काष्ठे शवं स्थापयेयुः ।
इस मंत्रको पढ़कर शवका पांच अमृतोंसे अभिषेक करे । उसके पुत्रादि उसके तीन प्रदक्षि गा देकर उसे चितामें स्थापित करें।
मंत्र-ॐ ॐ ॐ ॐ रं रं रं अग्निसन्धुक्षणं करोमि स्वाहा । अनेनाग्नि सन्धुक्ष्य सर्पिरादिना प्रसिञ्च्य प्रज्वाल्य जलाशयं गत्वा स्नानं कुर्यात् ।
इस मंत्रका उच्चारण कर अग्नि जलावें, घृत आदिकी आहुति दें, चितामें अग्नि लगावें । अनन्तर जलाशयपर जाकर स्नान करें ।
अथोदकान्तमायान्तु सर्वे ते ज्ञातिभिः सह ।
वोढारस्तत्र कर्ता च यान्तु कृत्वा प्रदक्षिणम् ॥ १४९ ॥ अनन्तर वे सब जातीय बांधवोंके साथ साथ जलाशयके समीप जावें । परन्तु उनमसे विमान उठानेवाले और संस्कारकर्ना उस चिताकी प्रदक्षिणा देकर जावें ॥ १४९॥
तिथिवारक्षयोगेषु दुष्टेषु मरणं यदि । मृतस्योत्थापनं चैव दीर्घकालादभूयदि ॥ १५० ॥ तदोषपरिहारार्थ कर्ता कृत्वा प्रदक्षिणम् । प्रांजलिः पार्थं गृहीयालायश्चित्तं विपश्चित्तः ॥ १५१ ॥ यथाशक्ति जिनेज्या च महायन्त्रस्य पूजनम् । . शान्तिहोमयुतो जाप्यो महामन्त्रस्य तस्य वै ॥ १५२ ॥
