सोमसेनभट्टारकविरचितकुटुंबमें रहकर सबको सुखी कर । इन वचनोंको सुनकर वह बालक उसे स्वीकार करे और चैत्यालयमें जावे । वहांपर होम जिनपूजन आदि क्रियाएं करे । इसके बाद ब्राह्मण आदि सारे मनुष्योंको भोजन कराकर, पुण्यके अर्थ वस्त्र, आभूपण और तांबूलद्वारा विधिपूर्वक उनका यथायोग्य सत्कार करे ॥ ४१-४४ ॥
बोधि-पूजन। चतुर्थवासरे चापि संस्नातः पितृसन्निधौ । संक्षिप्तहोमपूजादि कर्म कुर्याद्यथोचितम् ॥ ४५ ॥ शुचिस्थानस्थितं तुझं छेददाहादिवर्जितम् । मनोज्ञं पूजितुं गच्छेत्सुयुक्त्याऽश्वत्थभूरुहम् ॥ ४६॥ दर्भपुष्पादिमालाभिहरिद्राक्तसुतन्तुभिः । स्कन्धदेशमलंकृत्य मूलं जलैश्च सिंचयेत् ॥ ४७ ॥ वृक्षस्य पूर्वदिग्भागे स्थण्डिलस्थाग्निमण्डले । नव नव समिद्भिश्व होमं कुर्याघृतादिकैः ॥ ४८ ॥ पूतत्वयज्ञयोग्यत्ववोधित्वाद्या भवन्तु मे । त्वद्वद्धोधिद्रुमत्वं च मचिन्हधरो भव ।। ४९ ।। तं वृक्षमिति सम्मायें सर्वमंगलहेतुकम् । वृक्षं वन्हि त्रिः परीत्य ततो गच्छेद्गृहं मुदा ॥ ५० ॥ एवं कृते न मिथ्यात्वं लोकिकाचारवर्तनात् । भोजनानन्तरं सर्वान् सन्तोष्य निवसेद्गृहे ॥ ५१ ॥ प्रतिमासं क्रियां कुर्याद्धोमपूजापुरःसराम् ।।
श्रावणे तु विशेषेण सा क्रियाऽऽवश्यकी मता ॥ ५२ ॥ चौथे दिन वह बालक, अच्छी तरह स्नानकर पिताके निकटमें संक्षेपसे यथायोग्य होम पूजा भादि कर्म करे । पवित्र स्थानमें खड़ा हो, ऊंचा हो, छिन्नभिन्न न हो, और जला हुआ न हो, ऐसे एक मनोहर पीपलके वृक्षकों देखकर उसकी पूजाके लिए वह बालक जाये। दर्भ, फूलमाला हल्दीसे रंगे हुए सुतसे उस वृक्षके स्कंधको सुशोभित कर उसकी जड़को जलसे सींचे । उस वृक्षकी पूर्व दिशामें एक चौकोन चबूतरा बनाकर उसमें गोल अमिकुंड बनावे । उसमें अग्नि तैयार कर नौ नौ समिधाओं और घृत आदिसे होम करे । और हे वृक्ष ! तेरी तरह मुझमें भी पवित्रता हो, यशयोग्यता हो, जिस तरह तुझे बोधि नाम प्राप्त है उसी तरह मुझे बोधि-रत्नत्रयकी प्राप्ति हो और त भी मेरे समान चिन्हका धारण करनेवाला हो। इस प्रकार सम्पूर्ण मंगलोंके कारण उस वृक्षराजसे प्रार्थना करे। पश्चात् उसके तीन प्रदक्षिणा देकर सहर्ष घरपर आवे। इस तरह इस लौकिक आचरणके करनेसे मिथ्यापन नहीं है। घरपर आकर भोजनके बाद सबको संतोषित कर घरमें रहे । यह क्रिया हर महीनेमें करता रहे। परंत श्रावण महीने में यह क्रिया अवश्य की जानी चाहिए
