चौथे दिन वृद्ध सुवासिनी स्त्रियां उन पति-पत्नीको स्नान करावें । फिर वे उन्हें गहनों- कपड़ों से अच्छी तरह सजा कर अभिमंडलोंपर बैठावें और सब क्रियाएँ करें । उनके आगेकी जमीन मिट्टीसे लीपकर हल्दी और चांवलोंसे स्वस्तिकके आकारवाला एक उत्तम यंत्र लिखें । उसपर मंगलके लिए विधिपूर्वक एक कलश स्थापन करें। उस कलशके मुखको पाँच पत्ते, माला, वस्त्र और सूतके धागे से सुशोभित करें ॥ १५-१७ ॥
आचार्यस्तं करे धृत्वा पुण्याहवचनैर्वरैः ।
सिञ्चयेदम्पती तोच पुण्यक्षेमार्थचिन्तकः ॥ १८ ॥
इसके बाद गृहस्थाचार्य कलशको हाथमें लेकर इनका कल्याण हो, पुण्य बढ़े और इन्हें सम्पत्ति प्राप्त होवे - ऐसा मनमें चिन्तवन करता हुआ पुण्याहवचनों द्वारा उस कलशके जलसे उन दोनों पति-पत्नीका अभिषेक करे ॥ १८ ॥
त्रिःपरीत्य ततो वह्नि तत्र चोपाविशेत्पुनः । सौभाग्यवनिताभिश्च कुङकुमैः परिचयेत् ॥ १९ ॥ नीराजनां ततः कृत्वा वर्धयेच्च जलाक्षतैः ।
भूपाभिः पूज्यौ तौ ताभिरादरात् ॥ २० ॥
इसके बाद उनसे अग्रिकी तीन प्रदक्षिणा दिलाकर वहीं पर बैठा दे । पश्चात् सौभाग्यवती स्त्रियाँ उनके कुंकुमका तिलक करें, आरती उतारें और जल-अक्षत उनके सिरपर डालकर, तुम वृद्धिको प्राप्त होओ-फलो फूलो, ऐसा कहें। इस अवसरपर वे स्त्रियाँ वस्त्र, ताम्बूल, आभूषण आदि उनका सत्कार करें- कोई वस्त्र, कोई तांबूल, कोई आभूषण आदि अपनी २ शक्तिके अनुसार उन पति-पत्नीको देकर खुश करें ॥ १९-२० ॥
