व्याधिं महोदरी कुर्याद्रोगं हृदये कृशा । अगहीना सुतं हन्याच्छुष्कजङ्घा नरेन्द्रहा || ३८ ॥ पादहीना जनं हन्यात्कटिहीना च वाहनम् । ज्ञात्वैवं पूजयेज्जैनीं प्रतिमां दोपवर्जिताम् ॥ ३९ ॥
प्रतिमा की दृष्टि यदि टेढ़ी हो तो प्रतिमा बनवाने वालेके धनका नाश होता है, सबसे चैर विरोध पड़जाता है, और उसको नाना प्रकारके भय उत्पन्न होते रहते हैं । यदि उसकी दृष्टि नीचेको हो तो पुत्र का नाश होता है, यदि दृष्टि ऊपरको हो तो स्त्रीका मरण होता है, और वह शोक, उद्वेग सन्ताप और धनका क्षय करती है । यदि प्रतिमा शान्त हो तो वह सौभाग्य और पुत्रोत्पत्तिके लिए और शान्तिको बढानेवाली होती है; सदोष प्रतिमा कभी न बनवाना चाहिए, क्योंकि वह अशुभ करनेवाली होती है । रुद्राकार प्रतिमा स्वामीका नाश करनेवाली और कृश अंगवाली प्रतिमा द्रव्यका क्षय करनेवाली होती है। सिकुडे हुए अंगवाली प्रतिमा कुलका क्षय करती है, चिपटी दुःख करनेवाली होती है, नेत्ररहित प्रतिमा नेत्रका विध्वंस करनेवाली होती है । मुखरहित प्रतिमा भोगोंको हरण करने वाली होती है । बड़े पेटवालीं व्याधि उत्पन्न करती है, हृदयमें कुश प्रतिमा हृदयमें रोग पैदा करती है, अंगहीन प्रतिमा पुत्रका नाश करती है, शुष्क जंघावाली राजाका घात करनेवाली होती है पैरहीन प्रतिमा मनुष्योंका क्षय करती है । कटिहीन प्रतिमा सवारीके वाहन आदिका क्षय करनेवाली होती है। इस लिए इन सब दोषोंको जानकर जैनियोंको निर्दोष प्रतिमाकी पूजा करना चाहिए || ३४ ॥ ३५ ॥ ३६ ॥ ३७ ॥ ३८ ॥ ३९ ॥
प्रतिष्ठां च यथाशक्ति कुर्याद गुरूपदेशतः ।
स्थिरं चानुचलं विम्बं स्थापयित्वाऽत्र पूजयेत् ॥ ४० ॥
गुरुके उपदेशानुसार अपनी शक्ति-माफिक प्रतिमा बनवावे । तथा स्थिर किंवा चल प्रतिमाकी स्थापना कर उसकी पूजा करे ॥४०॥
गिरस्तोंके घरोंमें रखने योग्य प्रतिमा ।
द्वादशांगुलपर्यन्तं यवाष्ठांशादितः क्रमात् । स्वगृहे पूजयेद्विम्बं न कदाचित्ततोऽधिकम् ॥ ४१ ॥
