नहीं है किन्तु धर्माविरोधसे अर्थकमानेकी और कामसेवनकी विधिभी बीजरूपसे बताता है । क्योंकि यह त्रिवर्णाचार ग्रन्थ है। त्रिवर्णका आचार धर्म, अर्थ और काम तीनों है । इस लिए बीज रूपसे अर्थ और कामका वर्णन करना अनुचित नहीं है। उसका विशेष वर्णन उस विषयके शास्त्रों में जानना चाहिए । पर इतना खयाल अवश्य रखना चाहिए कि अर्थका उपार्जन और कामका सेवन धर्म - पूर्वक होना चाहिए । धर्मपूर्वक उपार्जन किया हुआ अर्थ और कामही अनर्गल सुखके कारण हो सकते हैं अन्यथा वे घोर नरकके कारण हैं । इस ग्रंथ के प्रकाशक महो - दयने काम शास्त्र संबंधी श्लाकको अश्लील समझकर उनपर अपनी तरफसे टिप्पणी जोड़ दी है वह ठीक नहीं है अश्लील बात और है और काम शास्त्रका वर्णन और बात है ।
इस शास्त्रमें वैद्यक, ज्योतिष, शकुन, निमित्त, स्वास्थ्य रक्षा आदिकाभी थोड़ा थोड़ा कथन किया गया है । केवल सुपारी खाने, बुरे नामवाली कन्याकेन विवाहने आदिके विषयमें जो भयानक कथन किया गया है वह उस उस विषयके शास्त्रोंसे अविरुद्ध है! ऐसी बातों परसे जो लोग तुमुल युद्ध छेड़ देते हैं वे एकतो उस विषयके शास्त्रोंसे अनभिज्ञ हैं, दूसरे आज कल वे उन शास्त्रोंकी परतंत्रताभी नहीं चाहते । अत एव वे येन केन प्रकारेण अपना मार्ग साफ करना चाहते हैं। मुझे तो इस ग्रन्थका प्रायः कोई भी विषय शास्त्र विरुद्ध नहीं जान पड़ा । इस शास्त्रमें जो जो विषय बताये हैं उनका बीज ऋषिप्रणीत शास्त्रों में मिलता है । अत एव साहस नहीं होता कि साधारण समाजके कल्याणकारी इस ग्रन्थकी अवहेलना की जाय । इस चातका भी विश्वास है कि कितने ही सज्जन इस अनुवादको देखकर फड़केंगे, कुढ़ेंगे, कोसँगे बिजली की तरह टूटेंगे और अनेक जलीभुनी भी सुनावेंगे | परन्तु -
रुस तूसउ लोभो सच्चं अक्खंतयस्स साहुस्स । किं जूयभए साडी विवज्जियव्वा णरिंदेण ॥

अन्तमें पाठकों से निवेदन है कि ग्रन्थके अनुवाद में जहां कहीं, त्रुटि रही हो उसे सुधार कर ठीक करेंगे और मुझे क्षमा प्रदान करेंगे । क्योंकि -
गच्छतः स्खलनं चापि भवत्येव प्रमादतः ।
