I offer oblations to the great, mighty, victorious, and increasing wisdom of the Arhats, the Bhagavatas (venerable ones). These are the fifty-three Rishi-tarpana mantras. After that, this is the mantra for obeisance to them: "Om Hrim Aham Kyaum Kyom Namah."
These are the Rishi-tarpana mantras. After the tarpana, one should offer obeisance to all of them with the mantra "Om Hrim Aham Kyaum Kyom Namah."
Now, one should perform the tarpana for the ancestors with sesame water: "Om Hrim Aham the paternal ancestors of the venerable Shrivat, the paternal ancestors of the venerable Ajita, the paternal ancestors of the venerable Sambhava, the paternal ancestors of the venerable Abhinandana," and so on up to the venerable Vardhamana. "Om Hrim Aham our paternal ancestors, Om Hrim Aham their paternal ancestors, Om Hrim Aham their paternal ancestors, Om Hrim Aham our initiation Guru, Om Hrim Aham our knowledge Guru, Om Hrim Aham our teaching Guru."
