________________ 50 APPENDIX I. No. 120. NANDA KIŚORA. The only work of his that has been found is Pingala-prakāśa, which was copied in Samvat 1858-1801 A.D. Ho must have flourished before that. No. 121. NANDALĀLA Chhaodā was a Jaina and wrote Mūlāchāra in vernacular with the assistance of others at the instance of a Jaina. Ho composed it in Samvat 1888=1831 A.D. No. 122. NANDIRĀMA lived at Jāgron, district Ludhiānā in the Punjab. He wrote Bhayavat Gītā partly in prose and partly in verse in 1807 A.D. His grandson, who owns the manuscript, stated that the book was written by his grandfather for his son Thākuradāsa. The name of the author, which had been given at the end of the book was rubbed out by some body. No. 125. NĀRĀYAŅADĀSA composed a book named Chhandasāra in Samvat 1829=1772 A.D. (See no. 78 of S. R. 1906-08). The same book has been noticed at two places. No. 124. NAROTTAMA was a native of Bārī, a village in the Sītāpur district, and was born in 1553 A.D. He composed a book named Sudāmālīlā (See no. 22 of S. R. 1900 and no. 201 of 1906-08). He is a poet of distinction and his work is very popular. No. 125. NAYANASUKHA, son of Kosa or Keśavadāsa, wrote a book named Nayanasukha or Vaidya Manotsava in the Samvat year 1649=1592 A.D. (See no. 34 of S. R. 1900 and no. 214 of 1909-11). No. 126. NEWAJA Tiwārī was under the patronage of Nawāb Āzam Khān who ordered him to write Sakuntalā Nāțaka in vernacular about 1690 A.D. (See no. 75 of S. R. 1903). He also wrote Chhatrasāla Virudāvali. There were several poets of this name, a notice of which will be found under no. 217 of S.R. 1909-11. No. 127. NIDHĀNA, son of Nandarāma Kānyakubja Brāhamaņ of Anūpasahar (district Bulandsahar),
