No. 78. JAGANNATHA alias Jagadísa, son of Sri Krishna Bhatta, flourished about 1772 A.D. His three works have been noticed, to wit (1) Alankāra-prakāśa, (2) Buddhi parikshā or puzzles, (3) Mādbo-vijaya-vinoda and (4) Sarasvati-prasāda. The first and the fourth deal with rhetoric.
No. 79. JAGANNĀTHA BHATTA, son of Rāma Kavi of Gokula, wrote a book named Rasa-prakāśa. His time is not known. His poetry is ordinary. .
No. 80. JAGATĀNANDA is a newly discovered poet. He wrote Braja-parikrama and Upākhyāna sahita Dasama Skandha (Bhāga vata), the latter in 1674 A.D. The first is a guide to pilgrims visiting the sacred places in Braja.
No.81. JANA HARIDĀSA, a disciple to one Bhikhādāsa, wrote a book named Bhagayat Gītā satika in 1754 A.D.
No. 82. JANAKA-LĀDILI-ŚARAŅA, a disciple to Janaka-rāja-kibori-sarana, the latter being a disciple 10 Rāghavendradāsa. He wrote a book named Pikā Nehaprakāśa. He flourished in S. 1904 = 1847 A.D.
No. 83. JANAKA-RĀJA-KIŚORI-ŚARANA alias Rasika Ali (see no. 134 of 1909–11). He composed three books Ashtayāma, Sītā-rāma-siddhānta-muktāvali and Sitā-rāına siddhānta Ananya-tarangiņi. The last is stated to have been prepared for Janaka-lādili-sarana and was completed in a year noted symbolically, which seems to yield the figure 1848, but the Mibra Bandhus have noted his time as Samvat · 1888 which is equal to 1831 A.D.
No. 84. JĀNAKİ-CHARAŅA of Ajodhyā, a disciple of Sri Rāma-charaṇaji, composed Prema-pradhāna in the year 1822 and Siyā-rāma Rasamañjari in 1824 A.D. The last is apparently identical with śri Rāma-ratana-mañjari of the Misra Bandhus. The former appears to be the correct name. The two books noticed give the date of composition, which overrides the conjectural date (Samvat 1900) given in the Vinoda (see no. 1801). "The poet's writings are interesting.
