APPENDIX 1.
No. 49. DHIRAJARĀMA, son of Kripārāma, was a Sārasvata Brāhmaṇ. He wrote Chikitsāsāra, a book ou medicine in verse. He flourished about 1753 A. L'. His poetical merit seems to be average.
No. 50. DHAUKALASIMHA wrote Ramala-prabua, a book on astrology in Samvat 1805, which is equal to 1748 A. D.as known from other sources. It purports to be a metrical translation and not an original composition.
No. 51. DHRUVADĀSA, a well-known author, flourished about 1630 A. D. Three works of his have been found during the present search. He was a prolific writer. Mauy works of his have been noticed in the search reports for 1900, 1902, 1906–08 and 1908–11. He is a distinguished poet.
No. 52. DĪPACHANDA, & Jain Banjā, flourished about the beginning of the 18th century. He wrote a book namod Jñana-darpaņa on Jaina philosophy which is printed, as also his Anubhava-prakāśa in prose. He is known to have written seven works more.
No. 53. DURGESA appears to be a newly discovered poet. He composed Dvaitādvaita-vāda, a book on Vedānta philosophy in the name of Mahārājā Jayasimha, who suocoeded his father Mahārāja Ajitasimha to the Gaddi of the Rewā State in 1812 A. D. and ruled up to 1833 A. 1). The poet therefore may well be placed about 1825 A. D.
No. 54. GAŅEŚA was under the patronage of Mahārājā. Balvanta Simha Brajendra of Bharatapur, who lived till 1853 A. D. He was fond of alliteration and is a fairly good writer.
No. 55. GAŅEŚADATTA, wrote a book named Bhāgvata-avatariņikä in Samvat 1812 or 1755 A. I), in a fairly good style. He was a lover of alliteration.
No. 56. GAŅEŚA MIŚRA, born of a Māthura family, composed a book named Vikrama-vilāsa. He is a fine poet. His time seems to be 1588 A. D.
