APPENDIX I.
dated in 1768 A. D. The dated manuscripts show that he was a regular writer and that every year he produced a Vēli (creeper) Pachisi (quarter century) or Pada Bandha (Collection of Songs) in praise of Lord Krishṇa and his connexions, somewhat in the fashion of Sūradāsa, who was apparently his prototype. Though he failed to soar as high as the latter his productions are not in any way mean. The Misra Bandhus put his date of birth at 1770 A. D. but two years before this he had completed his Rasika Yaśavardhana Vēli. He must have thus been boru a little before the middle of the 18th century. Following are his books found in the present search :
(1) Rasika Yaśavardhana Vēli composed in 1768 A. D. (2) Yugala Prīti-prakāba Pachisi. (3) Srikrishna-sumarana Pachisi. *(4) Ānanda vardhana Vēli. (5) Navama-samaya-prabandha-sankhalā Pachisi
composed in 1773 A. D. (6) Srikrishņa Vivāha-utkaņțhā Vēli. (7) Sri Rāsa-utsava-vardhana Vēli composed in 1774. (8) Ishtabhojana Pachisi (undated). (9) Joga-nirveda Pachisi (10) Prārthanā Pachisi (11) Rādhā Janmotsava Vēli (12) Sri Bệishabhāna-sujasa Pachisi , (13) Tīkā Chhappaya Nābhādāsa krita Śri Harivamba

Besides the above the Vinoda mentions the following works :
