Appendix no. III with a brief summary at the end. Under existing orders it was unnecessary to examine records composed after 1850 A.D., but they seem to have been forgotten with the result that 132 records of that class were also noticed by the travelling Agent. Some old reports contain an appendix IV giving a list of writers of such works. A similar list has therefore been added as appendix IV, but the illustrativo extracts have been omitted. Finally an index of the authors and another of manuscripts have been added as usual,
