Yogaśāstra is also an important contribution of Hemacandra in the field of Philosophy
Amongst his Caritas Trisastiśalākāpurusacarita and Parisistaparvan deserve particular mention The works not only collect the annals of the great sixty-three persons of Jainism but like Purānas reproduce full concept, culture, philosophy and heritage of Jainism, Their serious study can undoubtedly define Jain concepts separately vis-a-vis Hinduism and Buddhism. We can also know the concepts in common and contrast.
Besides other commentaries written by him, his contribution to Sanskrit poetry may also not be forgotton. Besides philosophical poems, he wrote lyrical poems like Mahādevastotra and Vitarāgastotras. His important contribution to the history of Mahā kāvyas in his grammatical poem Dvyāśrayakāvya which is being printed herewith and a subject of a few comments.
DVYAŚRAYAKĀVYA The Dvyāśrayakāvya is a grammatico-historical poem written to illustrate his new grammar Siddhalaimaśabdānuśāsana and also to write the annals of his patrons Siddharāja and Kumārapāla together with their predecessors That is the purpose of the two bases (Dvitāśraya). It has described Mūlārāja, his administration, policies; an invasion over Somanātha; ils desence by Mūlarāja blended with the characteristics of the mahākāvya viz. descriptions, expedjuons; sending of the massenger and the fight in the bulk of thc Lāvya i, e. Canto I to V.
