खिचरा रोमजपक्षिणः चर्मजपक्षिणश्च प्रकटावेव । नस्लोकाद् बहिः समुद्रपक्षिणी तिपक्षिणः ॥ २२ ॥

व्याख्या - २२ इत्युक्तः स्थलचरविभागोऽथ खचरविशेषं व्याकरोति" खयरा" रोम्णो जाता ये पक्षास्ते रोमजपक्षाः, रोमजपक्षां सन्त्येपामिति रोमजपक्षिणः शुककाकादयः । चर्मणो जाता ये ते चर्मजाः, चर्मनाथ ते पक्षा, ते सत्येषामिति चर्मजपक्षिणः वल्गुलीचर्मचटिकादयः । ते द्विधा अपि प्रकer एव पक्षोपलक्षितत्वात् । चः समुच्चये । एवकारस्तु विविधजातिविशेषदर्शनार्थः । एते हि पञ्चचत्वारिंशलक्षयोजनममाणमनुष्यलोकान्तवर्त्तिनः ।
