ग्रंथका एक अंग स्वीकार करनेमें सहायता मिल सके । इन आपत्तियों में - बहुत कुछ तथ्य पाया जाता है; और इस लिये इनका पूरी तौरसे समाधान हुए बिना उक्त छहों पद्योंको ग्रंथका अंग नहीं कहा जा सकता - -उन्हें स्वामी समंतभद्रकी रचना स्वीकार करने में बहुत बड़ा संकोच होता है । आश्चर्य नहीं जो ये पद्य भी टीकासे पहले ही ग्रंथ में प्रक्षिप्त हो गये हों और साधारण दृष्टि से देखने अथवा परीक्षादृष्टिसे न देखनेके कारण वे टीकाकारको लक्षित न हो सके हों। यह भी संभव है कि इन्हें किसी दूसरे संस्कृत टीकाकारने रचा हो, और कथाओंसे पहले उनकी सूचनाके लिये, अपनी टीकामें दिया हो और बादको उस टीका परसे मूलग्रंथकी नकल उतारते समय असावधान लेखकोंकी कृपासे वे मूलका ही अंग बना दिये गये हों । परंतु कुछ भी हो, इसमें संदेह नहीं कि ये पद्य संदिग्ध जरूर हैं और इन्हें सहसा मूल ग्रंथका अंग अथवा स्वामी समंतभद्रकी रचना नहीं कहा जा सकता ।
यहाँ तककी इस संपूर्ण जाँच में जिन पद्योंकी चर्चा की गई है, हम समझते हैं, उनसे भिन्न ग्रंथ में दूसरे ऐसे कोई भी पद्य मालूम नहीं होते जो खास तौरसे संदिग्ध स्थितिमें पाये जाते हों अथवा जिनपर किसीने अपना युक्तिपुरस्सर संदेह प्रकट किया हो और इसलिये जिनकी जाँचकी इस समय जरूरत हो । अस्तु ।
यह तो हुई ग्रंथकी उन प्रतियोंके पद्योंकी जाँच जो इस सटीक प्रतिकी तरह डेढ़ सौ श्लोक संख्याको लिये हुए है, अब दूसरी उन प्रतियों को भी लीजिये जिनमें ग्रंथकी श्लोकसंख्या कुछ न्यूनाधिकरूपसे पाई जाती है ।
