'पंचास्तिकाय' सूत्रकी जयसेनाचार्यकृत टीकामें लिखा है कि श्री कुण्डकुन्दाचार्य ने इस शास्त्रको अपने शिष्य शिवकुमार महाराज के प्रति - बोधनार्थ रचा है, और वही राजा इस शास्त्रकी उत्पत्तिका निमित्त है ।
