The Inst. sing. of ag and get is an in the Mas culine gender and ang in the ferninine gender. qaga is पादाप्रकुसुम or प्रत्यग्रकुसुम, the second seems to yield good sense. 323. gidh etc. Seri hazyế werai agar. 324. In gerai, rules beginning with i. 177 and ending in i. 265 are not applicable. These rules prescribe the dropping of certain consonants and changes in others. The principal characteristics of this dialect may be summarised as under : ( a ) Consonants as a general rule are not dropped ; they remain as in Sanskrit. (b) is changed to a; o to 7; is to m; 27 and a to a. (c) Of conjuncts T, - and oy are changed to 574; in राजन् to चिञ्. (d)q in any is changed to 9; & to , T in Test etc. to sã. (e) Fat of the Absolutive is changed to ga, but gar to ca and 147. (f) The passive form is indicated by 554. (g) The Future form is indicated by get of the Optative. (h) The Ablative sing. of words ending in a has strai and ana as terminations. 325–328. These rules describe the characteristics of afs#altai which in reality is a sub-dialect of ear, the only additions being: (a) the third and fourth letters of a class are substituted by first and second; and (b) is optionally changed to ल; e.g, नकर for नगर and मेख for मेघ. 326.
