**Verse:**
**Charikhamon**
**Explanation of the action of the destruction of the attachment to good conduct and the destruction of the good conduct, 1472. Vihasa. 1473. That is to be abandoned. 1474. Just as in a heap of grains, there are countless divisions above, and countless divisions below are given to the grains. 1475. In the middle, countless divisions are given to the grains. 1476. There, the grains that are not given, those, one by one, merge with all the given grains. 1477. For this reason, it is said that one category merges with the infinite categories that are given.
1478. How many categories merge with one given grain? 1479. All the categories that enter the stream of birth and death, and experience the ripening of the downward movement from the state of arising, merge with one given grain. 1480. For this reason, it is said that the categories that enter the stream of birth and death merge with one.
1481. This is the ninth commentary verse. (174) As many categories of parts are given according to the rule of practice,
So many categories of parts that have entered the stream of birth and death are transformed. ||227||
The categories that are not perceived (good conduct) are transformed according to the rule, one by one, into the perceived middle category of good conduct. ||226||
**Commentary:**
The explanation of the above commentary verse is as follows: The aggregate good conduct that has arisen, above it also there are countless divisions of good conduct, and below it also there are countless divisions of good conduct that remain un-arisen. That is, the countless divisions of good conduct above and below the intended perceived aggregate good conduct do not enter the state of arising in their own form. In the middle size, that is, in the middle part of the intended aggregate good conduct, countless divisions of good conduct arise, that is, they enter the state of arising in their own form. Among them, the good conduct that is not arisen, one by one, merges with all the arisen good conduct. For this reason, in the first part of the verse, it is said that "one category merges with the infinite categories that are given" - 1472-1477.
**Doubt:**
How many categories merge with one arisen grain of good conduct? ||1478||
**Solution:**
All the categories that enter the stream of birth and death, and experience the ripening of the downward movement from the state of arising, merge with one arisen grain of good conduct. For this reason, in the latter part of the verse, it is said that "the infinite categories that enter the stream of birth and death merge with one category" - 1479-1480.
**Commentary:**
Now, from here onwards, the ninth commentary verse is explained. ||1481|| - As many categories of parts are given according to the rule of practice, so many categories of parts that have entered the stream of birth and death are transformed. ||227||
