Varṇīya, vedanīya and antarāya, the sthiti-bandha (duration-bondage) of these karmas is of the measure of a palya-upama. And the sthiti-bandha of the mohanīya karma is one-third more than that. Thereafter, the other sthiti-bandha of the jñānāvaraṇa and other four karmas is less by a countable number of times than the previous sthiti-bandha. And the sthiti-bandha of the mohanīya karma is specially less.
The specifics are as follows - the sthiti-bandha of the nāma and gotra karmas is the least. From this, the sthiti-bandha of the other four karmas is countably more. From this, the sthiti-bandha of the mohanīya karma is countably more.
Due to this process of the gradual increase in sthiti-bandha, many thousands of sthiti-bandhas occur.
Thereafter, another type of sthiti-bandha's alpa-bahutva (rarity-abundance) begins. In that, the sthiti-bandha of the nāma and gotra karmas is the least. The sthiti-bandha of the other four karmas is mutually equal and innumerably more. From this, the sthiti-bandha of the mohanīya karma is countably more. Due to this alpa-bahutva process, many thousands of sthiti-bandhas occur.
