## [Verse 69] Description of the Three Categories of Kṣayās
**595.** **309.** This is the explanation of the sūtra. **310.** The explanation of the meaning of the second half of the seventh verse is complete. . . . **311.** This is the explanation of the meaning of the verse for those who have understood. **312.** That is to say, **313.** "The last time, they should be known by those who are free from the supreme delusion." Here, there are three kṣayās. **314.** That is to say, **315.** The second, the first, and the last (3).
**Special Meaning:** Here, one should not doubt why the structure of the yava-madhya is not explained in the case of stationary beings, like the three-bodied beings. The solution is that in the places of the arising of kṣayās, which are suitable for stationary beings, there are infinite beings found on each place of the arising of kṣayās. Therefore, their structure of the yava-madhya is different. Therefore, the description of the absence and presence of the places of the arising of kṣayās in the original sūtra should be understood in relation to living beings.
**Cūrṇim.**: This is the explanation of the original sūtra. In this way, the explanation of the meaning of the first half of the seventh verse of this usage authority is complete. ||309-310||
**Cūrṇisū.**: Now, from here onwards, the explanation of the meaning of the second half, i.e., the latter half of the said seventh verse should be done. It is as follows: "The places should be known by the suitable beings in the first time and by the suitable beings in the last time." In this latter half of the seventh verse, three categories have been presented. They are as follows: the second category, the first category, and the last category. ||311-315||
**Special Meaning:** The word "category" refers to a type of line or order. In the present context, the word "category" is used to mean the method of "less and more". The method of "less and more" in which the description of "less and more" is given starting with the beings suitable for the second kṣayā, which is called "mānas", is called the "second category". This is described in relation to humans and animals, because the beings suitable for the "mānas" kṣayā are found the least in them. The method of "less and more" in which the description of "less and more" is given starting with the beings suitable for the first kṣayā, which is called "krodha", is called the "first category". This is possible only in the case of gods, because the beings suitable for the "krodha" kṣayā are found the least there. And the method of "less and more" which starts with the last kṣayā, which is called "lobha", is called the "last category". This should be understood in relation to hell beings, because the beings suitable for the "lobha" kṣayā are found the least in the hell realm. In this way, the description of these three categories has been given in the latter half of this sūtra-verse. The names of two categories have been mentioned in the sūtra, and the information about the "second category" has been given by the word "ca" in the verse. This is the meaning that should be understood here.
