**Kasaypahud Sutra**
The number of **samijjamanaya** is **asankhejjaguna** (innumerable). xx 165. In this way, in **dvi-divandha** thousands of **gati** (paths), nine **sayavedo** (types of beings) are **uvasamijjamanaya** (on the path of liberation) and **uvasanta** (liberated). Now, compare the above passage with the **Kammapayadichurni**.
The **uvasamanapadam** (first stage of liberation) is **samyapabhiti** (equal illumination) for him and for his **karma** (actions). The **udaya** (arising) is **asankhejjaguna** (innumerable). The **padesagga** (reaching the stage) of the **uvasamijjamanapusagaveya** (male being on the path of liberation) is **asankhejjaguna** (innumerable). The **padesagga** (reaching the stage) of the **napunsagaveya** (neuter being) who is **sankamajamanag** (on the path of liberation) is **asankhejjaguna** (innumerable). xxx In this way, in **ti-tibandha** thousands of **gati** (paths), the **napunsagaveya** (neuter being) becomes **uvasanta** (liberated).
(Kammapayadichurni, Upash. p. 66 A) (16) Kasaypahud, p. 666, Sutra 176. In this way, at the time of **uvasanta** (liberation), there are seven **nokasaya** (types of karma) for the **uvasamago** (liberated being). 180. Those same **karma** are **dviti-khandaya** (divided into two parts) and **anu-bhag-khandaya** (divided into smaller parts). Another **dvi-divandha** (two-fold) is **patradha** (half). 181. In this way, in **dvi-divandha** thousands of **gati** (paths), seven **nokasaya** (types of karma) are **uvasamanaddha** (liberated from karma) and in **samkhejjati-bhage** (the stage of liberation), then the **nama-go-vedaniya** (karma that causes birth in the lower realms) are **samkhejjavassati-digo-bandha** (bound by the time of liberation). xxx 186. In this way, in **dvi-divandha** thousands of **gati** (paths), seven **nokasaya** (types of karma) are **uvasanta** (liberated).
Compare the above Sutras with the **Kammapayadichurni**.
Then, in this way, at the time of **uvasanta** (liberation), the **napunsagaveya** (neuter being) - like this **itthiveya** (being) - seven **nokasaya** (types of karma) are **uvasama** (liberated) and **badhaveti** (destroy). Those same **karma** are **dviti-khandaya** (divided into two parts) and **anu-bhag-khandaya** (divided into smaller parts). And also, **dviti-bandha** (two-fold) is **pattai** (half). In this way, in **dviti-bandha** thousands of **gati** (paths), "**samkhatame samkhavasito do-eham**" (the liberated being is liberated from two types of karma), seventeen **nokasaya** (types of karma) are **uvasamanaddha** (liberated from karma) and in **samkhejjati-bhage** (the stage of liberation), then "**do-nh**" (two) - **nama-go-vedaniya** (karma that causes birth in the lower realms) - in that time, **samkhejjavassati-go** (liberated from the time of liberation) and also **dviti-bandha** (two-fold). xxx In this way, in **ti-tibandha** thousands of **gati** (paths), seven **nokasaya** (types of karma) are **uvasanta** (liberated).
(Kammapayadichurni, Upash. p. 55 A) The reader will experience the similarity of both passages. The quoted portion in between is from the **Kammapayadichurni**'s **gatha** (verse), based on which the above **churni** (commentary) is composed.
(17) Kasaypahud, p. 668, Sutra 206. In this way, **jadhe** (those who are) **avali-pad-pravali-yano** (attached to the world) and **sesano** (remaining) **koha-sanjalanassa** (of the karma that causes anger), those same **karma** are **vidiyatthi-diddo** (given by the knowledge of the path), **padhama-hiddo** (given by the first stage of liberation), **agala-pad-i-agalo** (given by the path of liberation), **vocchie-no** (explained). 207. **Padiya-avali-yado** (from the path of liberation) and also **ud-irana** (arising) of **koha-sanjalanassa** (of the karma that causes anger). 208. **Padi-pravali-yae** (on the path of liberation) at one time, **sesa** (remaining) **koha-sanjalanassa** (of the karma that causes anger) **ja-hae-ina** (as long as) **thidi-ud-irana** (arising). 209. **Chadu-nh** (four) **sanjalanana** (types of karma) **thidi-vandho** (four months) **chattari-masa** (four months). 210. **Sesa-nan** (remaining) **kammanam** (karma) **ti-ti-bandho** (three-fold) **samkheja-ani** (innumerable) **vassa-sahassani** (thousands of years).
(Kammapayadichurni, Upash. p. 57 A) Now, compare the above Sutras with the **Kammapayadichurni**.
