Kasaya Pahuda Sutta
[5. Sankrama-arthadhikara]
The one who has attained the utmost state of bondage, having abandoned the utmost state, deposits it in the second state situated outside the udayavali (cycle of rise). Again, at the subsequent time, he attains the state situated outside the udayavali, i.e., the first state. Due to the effect of transformations, having obtained the state of udvartan (rising up), he deposits that previously abandoned region in a state one samaya less than the utmost state. This is the utmost type of deposit.
Thus, the meaning of the term 'utmost deposit' is complete.
[41. Ittho addhachchhedo]
Just as the exposition of the utmost state was given, in the same way, the exposition of the utmost state-transition should be understood here without any difference. That is, the exposition of the utmost state-transition is similar to the exposition of the utmost state.
Gatha:
Bandhanato ukkasat gantuna alimgam parassa,
Ukkasat samio samkamena jasim dugam tasim.
Churni:
The transition of the utmost state, having gone beyond the bondage, embraces the other (state). The lord of the utmost (state) attains, by transition, those (states) to which he has gone. 'Jasim dugam tasim' means: By transition, the lord of the utmost state attains those two states (cycles) to which he has gone. As per the context, 'duga' means: the state-transition devoid of the cycle of rise and the cycle of decline. The lord of the utmost (state) transcends the right and the wrong.
