[5 Sankrama-Arthadhikara
There is a Sankrama (transition) in three Prakritika Sthanas (natural states) and one Prakritika Pratigraha-sthana (natural receptacle state). The Sankrama of two Prakritika Sthanas is in two and one Prakritika Pratigraha-sthana. The Sankrama of one Prakritika Sthana should be known in one Prakritika Pratigraha-sthana. ||38||
Vishesha-artha - In this Gatha, the indication of Pratigraha-sthanas (receptacle states) of Sankrama-sthanas (transition states) of four, three, two and one Prakritirupa (natural form) is given. Their explanation is as follows - When the six Nokashayas (non-passions) of the Kshapaka (destroyer of Karmas) are destroyed, the Sankrama (transition) of Purushavedaka (male sex) and three Samjvalanas (passions) occurs in the four Samjvalana-rupa Pratigraha-sthana. When the three Mayakashayas (deluding passions) of the Upashamaka (quiescent) with twenty-four Prakritis (natural qualities) are suppressed, the Sankrama occurs in the three Prakritika Pratigraha-sthana of two Lobha (greed), Samyagmithyatva (mixed right and wrong faith) and Samyaktva (right faith). When the Purushavedaka of the Kshapaka is destroyed, the Sankrama of Samjvalana-krodha (passionate anger), Mana (pride) and Maya (deceit) occurs in the three Prakritika Pratigraha-sthana of Mana, Maya and Lobha. When the two Mayakashayas of the Upashamaka with twenty-one Prakritis are suppressed, the Sankrama of one Maya and two Lobha, these three Prakritis, occurs in the one Samjvalana-lobha-rupa Pratigraha-sthana. When the Krodha (anger) of the Kshapaka is destroyed, the Sankrama of Samjvalana-mana (passionate pride) and Maya occurs in the two Prakritika Pratigraha-sthana of Maya and Lobha. Or, when the two Lobhakashayas (passions of greed) of the Upashamaka with twenty-four Prakritis are suppressed, the Sankrama of Mithyatva (wrong faith) and Samyagmithyatva (mixed right and wrong faith) occurs in the two Prakritika Pratigraha-sthana of Samyagmithyatva and Samyaktva. When the three Mayakashayas of the Upashamaka with twenty-one Prakritis are suppressed, the Sankrama occurs in the one Samjvalana-lobha-rupa Pratigraha-sthana of the two Lobhakashayas. When the Samjvalana-mana of the Kshapaka is destroyed, the Sankrama occurs in the one Lobha-samjvalana-prakritirupa Pratigraha-sthana.
