Exposition of the Distinction in the Destruction of Charitra-mohaniya and Veda
1535. I will explain the knowledge of the ascetic who has destroyed the Veda. 1536. That is as follows. 1537. As long as he does not make the distinction, there is no knowledge. 1538. Making the distinction, he establishes the first state of the Itthi-veda. 1539. Just as the ascetic who has destroyed the Purisa-veda, the first state of the Itthi-veda is established by the Itthi-veda. 1540. There is no knowledge in the case of the ascetic who destroys the Napumsaka-veda. 1541. When the Purisa-veda is destroyed, the Itthi-veda is destroyed. 1542. Just as the ascetic who has destroyed the Itthi-veda under the influence of the Purisa-veda, so the ascetic who has destroyed the Itthi-veda under the influence of the Itthi-veda. 1543. Then the ascetic who has destroyed the Veda, destroys the seven Karmans. 1544. The destruction of all the seven Karmans is equal. 1545. In the remaining stages, there is no distinction.
1546. Now I will explain the knowledge of the ascetic who has destroyed the Napumsaka-veda. 1547. As long as he does not make the distinction, there is no knowledge. 1548. Making the distinction, he establishes the first state of the Napumsaka-veda. 1549. Just as the ascetic who has destroyed the Itthi-veda, the first state of the Napumsaka-veda is established by the Napumsaka-veda. 1550. Then he becomes intent on destroying the Napumsaka-veda in the second distinction. 1551. Just as the ascetic who has destroyed the Purisa-veda, the destruction of the Napumsaka-veda is equal to the destruction of the Purisa-veda.
