Ms no 385 adds a lot to the importance of this collection inasmuch as this ms. of Udayaprabhācārya's Dharmābhyudayamahākāvya, containing in it a vivid description of Vastupāla's pilgrimage, was copied down in V. S. 1290 by the great minister Vastupäla himself. Similarly, no. 121 is a collection of seven small works such as Subāhucaritra, Yogaśataka and others copied by Srāvibā Jõõnadevi We learn from this that in those days female votaries also could prepare such mss in such nice hand-writings. In the same way, no 142 is a manuscript of Maladhāri Hemacandra's commentary on the Jivasamasa, which is believed to be in the hand of the worthy commentator himself and this secms to be a fact in view of a close inspection of the Puşpikā, the style and correctness of writing and the references made to wrong variants.
In short, the material that is presented by the Khambhāta collection is indeed valuable from the literary, historical and cultural points of view.
