Raghunātha S'iromaņi, the author of Dīdhiti, the most learned coinmentary on Gangeśa's Tattvachintamaņi, was a native of Bengal & lived in the 16th Century. He is said to have been the pupil of the great Vāšudeva Sārvabhauma, who spent his last days in the court of Pratāpa Rudra of Orissa. In NyāyaVaiseșika be was the author of commentaries, called Didhiti, on
(1) Kiraṇāvali, (2) Atmatattvaviveka, (3) Nyāyalīlāvatī, &
(4) Tattvachintāmaņi, and of an independent tract, viz. Padārthatattvavive-! chana. In Vedānta his commentary on Khandanakhandakhadya deserves special mention..
S'ri Rāma Tarkālankāra, whose notes on the Didhiti are appended here, is probably to be identified with the father of Mathurānätha Tarkavagīša. It is not known whether he wrote any other work besides the
