( 62 ) ॥ यस्य ठोऽनुष्ट, टा, संदष्टे ।। १८ । उष्ठादिवर्जिते एस्य ठो भवति । Th is used for sht in all words except ushtra, ishtá, and sandashtar ; as लट्ठी (यष्टिः); मुट्ठी (मुष्टिः); दिट्ठी (दृष्टिः) मिट्टी (सृष्टिः); दूत्यादि अनुष्ट्र टा संदष्टइतिकिं ? the words ushtra ishta and sandashța have the following forms. उहो, इट्टा, संदट्ठो।
॥ त्यश्चोऽचैत्ये ॥ २० । चैत्यवर्जिते त्यस्य चो भवति ।
Ch is substituted for tya in all words except chaitya, as सहं (सत्य); पच्चो (प्रत्ययः); निच्चं (नित्य); पञ्चच्छे (प्रत्यक्ष); अचैत्यतिकिं ? the word चैत्य becomes चइत्तं ।
॥ त्व, थ्व, द, ध्वां च, च्छ, ज्ज, ज्याः क्वचित् ॥ २१ ।
एषां (त्व, थ्व, द, ध्वां) यथा संख्यमेते (च, छ, ज्ज, जमाः); क्वचिद्भवन्ति ।
In some instances chch, chchh, ij, and jih are substituted for twa, thwa, dwa, and dhwa respectively, as णचा (ज्ञात्वा); सोचा (श्रुत्वा) ; पिच्छी (पृथ्वी); विज (विद्वान्); वुजा (बुध्वा);
॥ तस्याधूतादौ ॥ २२। तस्य टो भवति धूतादीन वर्जयित्वा।
T is substituted for rt except that in the words of the dhurta class, as केवट्टो (कैवर्तः) वट्ठी (वत्ती); णट्ठो (नर्तकः); लट्टई (नर्तकी); संवट्टि (सर्वत्तिक); अधूतादाविति किं?
