॥ तीयकृद्यो जः ॥ २३ ॥
तोय प्रत्यये, कृदन्तेषु च यो यस्तस्य द्विरुक्तो जो(ज्जः) वा भवति ।
The single unconnected y, which occurs in a word on account of affix tíya, or any of the krit affixes attached to it optionally becomes jj as कर णिज्ज', करणी; रमणिज्ज रमणीचं ; दोज्जो, दोश्रो (द्वितीय); पेज्ज, पेश्रं (पेयं) ।
॥ छायायां होवाकान्तौ ॥ २४ ।
कान्तौ वर्त्तमाने छाया शब्दे यस्य हो वा भवति ।
