अध्याय - ६
[आत्मपरोभयस्थानानि ] अपने में, पर में और दोनों के विषय में स्थित [ दुःखशोकतापाक्रन्दनवधपरिदेवनानि] दु:ख, शोक, ताप, आक्रन्दन, वध और परिदेवन ये [असद्वेद्यस्य] असातावेदनीय कर्म के आस्रव के कारण हैं।
Suffering, sorrow, agony, moaning, injury, and lamentation, in oneself, in others, or in both, lead to the influx of karmas which cause unpleasant
feeling.
भूतव्रत्यनुकम्पादानसरागसंयमादियोगः शान्तिः
शौचमिति सद्वेद्यस्य ॥१२॥ [भूतव्रत्यनुकम्पा] प्राणियों के प्रति और व्रतधारियों के प्रति अनुकम्पा-दया, [दानसरागसंयमादियोगः] दान, सराग संयमादि के योग, [क्षान्तिः शौचमिति ] क्षमा और शौच, अर्हन्त भक्ति इत्यादि [ सद्वेद्यस्य ] सातावेदनीय कर्म के आस्रव के कारण हैं।
Compassion towards living beings in general and the devout in particular, charity, asceticism with attachment etc. (i.e. restraint-cum-non-restraint, involuntary dissociation of karmas without effort, austerities not based on right knowledge), contemplation, equanimity, freedom from greed - these lead to the influx of karmas that cause pleasant feeling.
