अध्याय - 10
आकाश द्रव्य ज्ञान नहीं है, क्योंकि आकाश द्रव्य कुछ नहीं जानता है। इसलिए आकाश द्रव्य अन्य है, ज्ञान अन्य है, ऐसा जिनेन्द्रदेव कहते हैं।
Space (ākāş – the non-soul substance) is not knowledge because space does not comprehend anything. Therefore, knowledge is one thing and space another; this has been proclaimed by the Omniscient Lord.
अध्यवसान ज्ञान नहीं है -
णाझवसाणं णाणं अज्झवसाणं अचेदणं जम्हा। तम्हा अण्णं णाणं अज्झवसाणं तहा अण्णं॥
(10-95-402)
अध्यवसान ज्ञान नहीं है, क्योंकि अध्यवसान अचेतन है; इसलिए ज्ञान अन्य है तथा अध्यवसान अन्य है।
Thought-activity is not knowledge because thought-activity is non-conscious. Therefore, knowledge is one thing and thoughtactivity another.
ज्ञान ही दीक्षा है -
जम्हा जाणदि णिच्चं तम्हा जीवो दु जाणगो णाणी। णाणं च जाणयादो अव्वदिरित्तं मुणेदव्वं॥
