अतुच्छमूच्र्छार्पणशक्तिभाजां यदीन्द्रियाणां विजयो न जातः । भूमण्डलान्दोलनशक्ति भाजोऽप्योजस्विनः किं नु बलस्य मूल्यम् १ ॥ ५ ॥
૫, ઈન્દ્રિય પ્રાણીને ભયંકર મૂર્છામાં પકે છે. આ દેશમાં અને આખી દુનિયા પર આન્દેલન જગાડવાની શક્તિ ધરાવનાર અલિષ્ઠ ચેદ્ધો પણ જો પેાતાની ઈન્દ્રિયા પર કાબૂ રાખી શકતો ન હેાય, તે તેના બળનું શું મૂલ્ય ?

૬. આન્તર શક્તિ પ્રગટાવવાના એક જ માગ છે. અને તે પત્તાની ઇન્દ્રિયાના સ્વામી બનવુ-નિયામક બનવું તે. એને સારુ ચિત્ત-શુદ્ધિ પરમ આવશ્યક છે. એટલે ઇન્દ્રિયજયના ઉમેદવારે ચિત્ત-શુદ્ધિના સાધનમાં સતત યત્નશીલ રહેવુ જોઈએ.
6. Complete mastery over the senses is the only course open for evolving inner vitality, So for the sake of it (for the subjugation of senses) one should be assiduous in his efforts for the purification of mind.
